Data bar can be accessed from the Home menu ribbons Conditional formatting option drop-down list. When you enter data or a formula it appears in the Formula Bar. Data Bars in Excel is the combination of Data and Bar Chart inside the cell which shows the percentage of selected data or where the selected value rests on the bars inside the cell.
If you are writing longer formulas it can be helpful to expand the Formula Bar using your mouse or a keyboard shortcut.
To expand the Formula Bar vertically move the mouse cursor to the bottom of the Formula Bar area until the cursor turns into a vertical double ended arrow. In insert the formula bar in the old Excel versions go to Tools Options then switch to the View tab and select the Formula Bar checkbox under the Show category. Open your spreadsheet and click on the File menu. To do this we select it put the sign and enter the data.
