To do so check the box LaTeX formula in the dialog window of the Text Tool and enter your formula in LaTeX syntax. Snip is a LaTeX app first which means it has great compatibility with any LaTeX editor like Overleaf. Now if you need to add normal text into a formula or even write a formula using words you can do this with the text-command inside the math-environment.
